“Hansel & Gretel” Live Theatre Show

What do you put first - family or food? This is the dilemma faced by the Woodcutter who, under pressure from his wife, leaves his children in the forest. How will they survive? Where will they go? Wait... is that a house made of... sweets!?This colourful and fun production is a new take on a classic tale and supports the National Curriculum study of Traditional Tales as well as Literacy & PSHE.The 30 minute show is followed by a 30 minute drama workshop in which all of the children have the chance, under the direction of the actors they have just watched, to explore some basic drama ideas around the topic of Traditional Tales. It is a fun and exciting way to extend their learning.
Here are some examples of the feedback from this show:
"All the children thoroughly enjoyed the performances & thought the drama workshop was great. Staff thought it was pitched just right for each year group. The performances from the actors was very slick and professional with a really good use of props. The cost for 3 separate performances was good value for money. Lots of staff took away ideas from the workshop element too. We will definitely book again!!" Karen Allen, Carlisle Infants School"We thought you were brilliant! the set and props were just right. We especially liked the way you involved the children by asking them questions and actually sitting amongst them. The speaking was extremely clear and the play was just the right length. You were extremely professional. Children and staff were smiling all the way through!" Rita Booker, Dr Triplet's Primary School"Thank you for a wonderful day. All the children were really buzzing about it. All the above (set/props/costume) were brilliant! The workshops gave the teachers ideas that they can use in their classrooms. We will certainly be using you again." Gill Sephton, Grovelands School
