The Apollo Mission Day workshop has been specially created for KS1 and above. The workshop is based around actual pieces of Moon rock and lunar soil brought to Earth by the Apollo Mission astronauts in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Moon rocks are incredibly rare and are on loan to the UK’s Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) from NASA and borrowed by Creative Space!

This awesome full day workshop is designed to accommodate up to 120 pupils over four sessions within the school setting. Don’t worry if you have a larger year group – just get in touch to discuss your requirements. In order to ensure the pupils have a great day, all equipment, worksheets and handouts are supplied… including real bits of outer space! From your school timetable, we can create a schedule tailored to your typical school day.

The Apollo Mission Day is designed to include an immersive planetarium film, drop-in workshops, classroom activities and science demos.

Due to the rarity of the lunar samples, this workshop is only available by pre-arrangement at least three months in advance of your preferred booking date.
